Railway signalling consultancy and design solutions

About

Railwise Oy is an independent railway signalling consultancy based in Finland, specialising in ERTMS/ETCS. The value is in applying ERTMS/ETCS standards and specifications to the real-world railway environment, bridging the gap between specification and practical implementation. The expertise is built over six years and counting at the forefront of Finland's national ERTMS programme: lead designer roles on two of the latest ETCS Level 2 track sections, the test track and the pilot track, contributions to Finland's national ETCS engineering guidelines, and work on the national CSS requirement specifications.Services cover signalling design and data preparation, CSS requirement specification work, design guidelines and engineering processes, testing and simulation, technical analysis, review and verification, and technical studies.Railwise also develops software. Rail Logic Designer is a software platform built for ETCS Level 2 signalling design at the logic layer.Available in Finnish and English, worldwide. Get in touch when you need design support, a design review, technical studies, specification work, guidelines, testing capacity or ETCS training material.

Rail Logic Designer

Signalling design is still largely manual work. The deliverables include configuration tables with hundreds of rows filled in by hand, and every change to the design means updating those rows by hand again.Rail Logic Designer was developed for one purpose only: ETCS Level 2 signalling design. The design, and every change to it, is made by the designer in one model, and the deliverables are generated from that model automatically. This removes a large part of the manual work and gives the designer time to focus on the design solutions. The platform carries the work from the first model through simulations, review and change management to deliveries.A video presentation is available on Railwise Oy LinkedIn page.
